On this day, under the initiative of CRPF 149 battalion, saplings of various varieties were planted around the college dormitory. Inspector Mohan Lal, Cooperative Officer of Battalion's Eco Company, Nipan Chakma, teacher of Government College and other officers of Company Battalion were present.

After planting the trees, Inspector Mohan Lan said that CRPF was established on July 27, 1939. Since then this day has been observed as Foundation Day every year.
