AGARTALA, July 27 (TIWN): CPI-M Udaipur divisional committee held a protest against Union Budget 2024.
A rally was organized from Jamtala in Udaipur subdivision on Saturday. The agitators walked through the Central Road, New Town Road, Old Motor Stand, Mahadev Dighi, Thana Corner and came to Jamtala.
A meeting was held in the presence of CPIM Udaipur Divisional Secretary Nitai Biswas, CPIM State Committee Member Ratan Bhowmik, CPIM Udaipur Divisional Committee Secretary Dilip Dutta.
The speakers said that there is no mention of the poor in this year's central budget. There is no need to reduce things. There is no talk of reducing the prices of daily necessary commodities for people to live.
“There is no MGNREGA work anywhere in the village or town in the entire state. Farmers are not able to market the produced items,” said a speaker at the rally.
