AGARTALA, July 22 (TIWN): Commodity prices are rising irresistibly in Tripura vegetable markets.
On Monday, the chilli prices had shot up to Rs. 250.
“Not only chilli prices, but every vegetable prices have gone high. Onion prices remain at Rs. 50. The way prices are increasing, common men are suffering at the end,” said a consumer who was purchasing 20 rupees chilli.
Non-veg market’s prices also remain high, as Hilsa fish was being sold at Rs. 1700-1800. As reason, the fish seller said, due to issue in Bangladesh the Hilsa fish import has declined.
