CPI-M State Secretary cum Opposition leader Jitendra Chowdhury was present with the candidates.

Addressing masses, Jitendra Chowdhury said, this election is very important for rural Tripura since people could not cast votes peacefully under the BJP regime.

“They burnt people’s houses. They attacked so many people and won uncontested. This time, this rigging culture has to be stopped. If BJP comes to power in Panchayat then corruption won’t stop and people would being deprived as they are now,” added Chowdhury.
