VIENNA NEW DELHI, July 11 (TIWN): Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his Austria speech met the NRIs in Vienna and raised “Bharat Mata Ki Jay” chanting from the crowd. While delivering speech, Prime Minister Modi celebrated the diversity. Plurality of both India and Austria, with a lamenting tone that no Indian Prime Minister has recently visited Austria as the last visit by the then Indian Prime Minister took place before 41 years.
PM Modi mentioned Austria’s upcoming poll and then discussed India’s recently held poll that had mandated NDA to win and rule the nation for the next five years.
“Such a big nation and voters are sixty-five Austria like countries, but after such a big election, the result was given immediately. It was possible due to electoral machinery and the strength of democracy,” said Modi.
“Across the world, after two tenures of a Government political instability remains high and it becomes very difficult for a government to reestablish but in India after decades such an election was held that empowered a government to be in power for three times subsequently,” said Modi.
PM further praised the Indian-origin NRIs for their love for their own culture, saying, “You have spread the Indian culture around the world.”
