AGARTALA, July 11 (TIWN): Congress leader Szarita Laitphlang addressing a party meeting in Agartala told indigenous party workers to stay with Congress and not to be diluted by politicians who confuse the people for the sake of personal gains. “Congress is the only party that has given proper respect to the indigenous people. From reservation to other benefits, everything happened in Congress time,” said Laitphlang.

“I am a tribal and Congress has chosen me to be in this position. So, I am standing here as the example of how Congress values the tribals and also other backward community,” she said.

“Many leaders will come and approach you for votes before the Panchayat election  but do not divert from your originality. They do politics by confusing and faking before the people. This time, do not step into the trap and also do not be  afraid of anyone,” she added.
