Talking to the media, Congress state president Asish Saha said that this meeting would be taken as a feed to decide the candidates.

He said, under Indian Govt right now, the SC community’s people are suffering. So, Congress must raise the SC community's issues. In deciding the candidates for Panchayat poll seats, Congress will select candidates by maintaining the balance and not depriving any community.

Tripura Panchayat polls are expected to be held on July end or August first week.
