AGARTALA, July 1 (TIWN): On June 15, 2 Bangladeshi citizens were arrested with Indian brokers. On June 23, at least 9 Bangladeshis were arrested and on June 24, two thieves were arrested in Agartala, it was known that 1 of them who had been living in Agartala for a long time, was actually a Bangladeshi. Then on June 26, total 4 Bangladeshis were arrested and on June 28, more 2 Bangladeshis were arrested. On June 30, total 11 Bangladeshi and today (July 1) more 11 Bangladeshis have been arrested. Out of the 40 arrested persons, 39 were arrested by Agartala Railway Police. TIWN has reported these 40 arrested from Agartala and it’s not the whole state’s picture.
Today total 11 Bangladeshis were arrested. A huge numbers of women are being caught.
OC of Agartala GRP PS, Tapas Das said, along with these 39 Bangladeshi, 5 children also have been detained.
The police officer said, 5 Indian brokers who helped in illegal trafficking have also been arrested.
