The deceased has been identified as Ramla Jhara.

According to locals Parimal Jhara of the Gaurnagar area used to fight his his wife almost every day due. Like other days last evening, Parimal Jhara beat his wife on the street in drunk condition.

After beating her with sharp weapon, he returned home.

Later, local people found her dead.  Then the neighbors informed the Khowai police station.

Khowai police recovered the body and sent for post-mortem. The accused husband was also arrested by police.
