AGARTALA, June 16 (TIWN): As per population, Tripura generally needs 42 unit of blood storage in blood banks. To uphold the blood stocks in blood banks, chief minister Dr. Manik Saha asked people to come forward to donate blood.
CM said, people of Tripura are already aware of blood donation and for decades, public are aware of donating blood.
“The necessity of blood was felt during Covid time and also during elections, the demand increases. So it’s a great initiative, deserves appreciation of public come forward to donate blood,” said CM.
“The way nobody can understand whether the blood is of a young or an old, nobody can realize whether the blood is of a Muslim or a Hindu. So in another way, blood proves that nothing is above humanity and we all are humans,” said CM.
