AGARTALA, May 28 (TIWN): Following the devastating impact of Cyclone Remal on Tripura, thousands of people are still stranded in flood-affected areas, refusing to leave their homes. On Tuesday night, the Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha visited relief camps in Town Bordowali, Agartala, and appealed to the remaining population to seek shelter in the camps. Many individuals have taken refuge on their rooftops, hesitant to abandon their homes. The Chief Minister emphasized the risks of staying in these conditions, saying, "It's dangerous to live like this. I urge everyone to join the relief camps, where food and basic necessities are available."
Additional boats have been deployed, and NDRF forces are working diligently to rescue those in the affected areas.
Cyclone Remal has severely impacted many families in Tripura, causing widespread destruction, including uprooted trees and disrupted power supply.
Efforts are underway to restore essential services across the state.
