UDAIPUR / BELONIA / SABROOM, February 2 (TIWN): Crossing the boundary of Udaipur the International Passport Forgery racket has succeeded to spread its wings at an alarming proportions among large number of people living in Belonia, SantirBazaar, Sabroom and Jolaibari(most of whom are suspected to be Bangladeshis). TIWN investigating team has come to know from sources that the ongoing Forged International Passport racket is very active in DM Gomati's Office complex since 2012. During investigation, it is revealed that the racket has been dealing with many Bangladeshi citizens in Forged Passports in exchange of huge amount of money ranging from Rs 70000/- to Rs 90000/- per forged passport. Interestingly, all the passport applications were filed from computers of Rajesh Majumder who has been dealing in computer business just a stone's throw distance from DM Gomati's Office complex( adjacent to Udaipur Court).

Even in the Passport issued in the name of Mustak Miah , S/O- Late Riku Miah of Paschim Khilpara( though the photograph was of a Bangladeshi citizen ) the deal was finalized in Rs 90000/- but unfortunately the Passport was delivered to original person and that too as the post office remained closed for three days because of Republic Day, Saraswati Puja and Sunday. TIWN investigating team came to know that the passport racket did not get the information of the arrival of the said passport and thus failed to manage(?) its linkers in post office.

However, in an interesting development DM Gomati's office released an official press release on 31st January in which Senior Deputy Magistrate Ranjit Dasblamed a section of media saying in the very first line of the press release ," It has come to the notice of the Gomati District administration that a section of media is misleading the common people in wrong direction about the role of district administration regarding distribution of passports...."

Interestingly TRIPURAINFOWAY.com is the first media to catch this racket which is sensitive issue and a national security issue for country.Immediately as a responsible media this issue has been reported to Union Home Secretary, Ministry of Home Affairs, IB, CBI, Regional Passport Authority Kolkata, Hon. Tripura Governor and Chief Secretary of Tripura.

And at 19.56pm on 28th January DM GOMATI Sonal Goel in a quite undemocratic manner threatened our Udaipur correspondent from her official land phone number 03821-222202 saying ," Now I will tell your website how to face the music" and also using some other foul remarks. Later on the news has been published in the leading news channel of Bangladesh BDnews24.com and leading news medias in India.

As per latest developments, Bangladesh is taking up officially this issue with Indian authorities in Delhi as there are very high chances that most of these fake Indian Passport holders are Bangadeshi terrorist elements.

Quite strangely, on Feb 1, Sr Deputy Magistrate in his press release mentioned categorically (in the last line of the Second paragraph)," So it is clear that District administration never issues passport directly." Now we would like to know from the Sr Deputy Magistrate Ranjt Das:

" Which media has written or said that the passport of Mustak Miah or any other passport was issued directly by the Gomati District administration?"

This is simply an attempt of him to suppress the truth. Again in the third paragraph of the Press Release Ranjit Das wrote," ... ... online applications are to be made through 'passport seva' website and the same applications are to be made before the district administration along with self attested copies of address proof( Ration Card, Voter ID, Telephone bill, bank statement), age proof( Birth Certificate), Nationality proof( PRTC, Voter ID) . During the verification original documents are to be produced before the verifying officer. Besides local police also marked verification and only after the detailed verification made by the police, the passport application is processed by the passport authority.

" Now what is interesting to know:-

1) Who made the verification of the documents of Mustak Miah?

2)How can the application be processed when the complainant has not made any application?

3) How did the authorities of the passport section of DM Gomati's gave clearance to this application where is has already been revealed that in less than two months time BDO MATABARI Nivedita Bhowmik issued two Birth Certificates in the name of a same person and within same address?

4) Who verified the Birth Certificate, Bank statement, nationality proof , voter ID and other documents? Whether any such verification was indeed made on this case? If so it would have been revealed even at the time of verification that PRTC, VOTER ID, Ration Card, Birth Certificate and all other documents attached with the passport application of Mustak Miah( Bangladeshi) are forged.

5) How can local police authorities be given clean chit when the actual verification was not at all made? In the  Paschim Khilpara only one Mustak Miah is living and if the police had made this mandatory verification , they would have come to know the difference between the photograph of original Mustak Miah and the Bangladeshi.

Ranjit Das finally advises media to play its impartial role. In this regard TRIPURAINFOWAY.com would like to assure Gomati District administration that it will always remain impartial and unbiased media not for the interests of any corrupt officials but because of its social responsibility and its commitment towards TRIPURAINFOWAY.com's thousands of followers not only in Tripura but also in different parts of the country and beyond borders. And when the investigating team traced the forged International Passport Racket in DM Gomati's Office, losing no time we, as a responsible media published news items as we feel that this type of racket is very dangerous for security of the country is concerned especially when the terrorists groups are constantly threatening to create panic in India.

Meanwhile TIWN investigating team got an authentic information that the racket consisting of the gang leader Nabikul Islam of Rajdhananagar and Sagar Sutradhar of Rajdhannagar made more than 500 international passport applications through the computer of Rajesh Majumder of Poultry Road area. Interestingly Rajesh Majumder has been dealing in computer business just a stone's throw distance from DM Gomati's Office complex( adjacent to Udaipur Court) but the entire Gomati District administration was in deep slumber !

But our investigating team came to know from sources that already more than 500 online passport applications have been made by Rajesh Majumder under the advise of Nabikul Islam and Sagar Sutradhar- the two most wanted in the racket. However, it is interesting to know whether Rajesh Majumder has any licence to make so many online applications and if so who has given him this licence?

International Passport racket maintained a diary with Rajesh Majumdar and it is suspected that the diary has been seized by the enquiry committee formed after back to back authenticated news published in our website.TIWN team also got the information that among the more than 500 applications many of the applicants have been shown as residents of Sabroom, Belonia, Jolaibari and SantirBazaar and it is suspected that most of the applicants are fake and may be foreign nationals. Unfortunately Gomati District administration will find it really tough to identify those 500 applicants.

The Magistrate Level Inquiry report is yet to be submitted but too much secrecy is being maintained and none is ready to give any statement . Meanwhile TRIPURAINFOWAY.com tried to talk with SP Gomati Sankar Debnath over phone on Sunday night to know about the steps taken by District police administration in this matter. But twice SP Gomati Sankar Debnath disconnected the line and not even called backed.

Gomati District Administration need to answer the most important qustion that, Why it failed to do the mandatory police and document verification of passport applicant Mustak Miah as required by Law and Passport Acts ???  No police went to Mustak Miah's Khilpara home for spot verification.

As per Gomati District Feb 1 Press release, it clearly says " Besides local police also marked verification and only after the detailed verification made by the police, the passport application is processed by the passport authority (of Kolkata)".

So one may raise the question,  Gomati District Administration is fooling whom by Feb 1  Press release when District Police and Authorities commmited serious lapses ?

Regional Passport Authority of Kolkata will never issue a passport unless local police verification, document verification is done by district authorities.
