AGARTALA, May 10 (TIWN): TSECL employees’ death rows continue due to a lapse in safety arrangements. Litan Rudra Pal, who works in the Belonia Electricity Department, was electrocuted while working on an electricity pole in Maichhara area. Family members alleged that Litan Rudrapal lost his life due to the negligence of electricity workers Lakshan and Asim. When Litan Rudrapal climbed the electricity pole, a power shutdown was taken with a code number. But before the work was completed, an electricity connection was restored. As a result, Liton Rudra Pal came into contact with electricity and fell off the pole. Immediately after the accident, Litan Rudrapal was brought to Santir Bazar District Hospital. The TSECL employees clear their hands just by handing over a financial donation of 10 thousand rupees to the family members of Litan Rudrapal.

“I took the money for his treatment but I never thought that none of the staff would accompany us to GB hospital,” said the deceased wife.

Later, Litan Rudrapal was taken to Agartala GB Hospital for treatment, where Litan Rudra Pal succumbed to his injuries.

The family members alleged that till now the power department has not contacted them.

Local people demanded the government to provide jobs to any of Litan Rudra Pal’s family members.

Litan Rudra Pal left a 13 years old boy and a 9 years old girl behind.
