AGARTALA, March 6 (TIWN): Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha while addressing at Bordowali constituency in Nari Shakti Bandhan virtual program where Prime Minister Modi’s speech was live telecasted from West Bengal hailed Tripura Govt’s initiative to empowering women financially.
“Before 2018, there were around 4000 self-help groups, whereas now Tripura has 51,364 numbers of self-help groups means around 10 to 15 times more than before,” said CM.
“Right now Tripura has 4,66,466 self-help groups,” he added.
He advised self help group women to concentrate on quality of the products along with the quantity.
CM said, Tripura Govt will continue house to house Sushanshan project to spread awareness about various schemes of the government, so that people may get the benefits.
“PM Modi released funds from time to time for Tripura. It shows it’s only this Govt that cares for the poor people. The previous ruling governments were only claiming to be poor people’s government which is not true,” said CM.
