AGARTALA, March 5 (TIWN): Since he became the Chief Minister of Tripura on May, 2022, Dr Manik Saha so far has increased 22% DA of the Govt employees. Noteworthy since 2018 to 2022, May until Manik Saha became the Chief Minister, Tripura Govt employees got only a 3% DA hike in 4 years, but in 2 years of his CM tenure, Saha has provided 22% DA. Today’s announcement was unanticipated and the opposition also did not expect this sudden declaration. CM’s decision shows the proper utilization of the increasing revenue. Claps and ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jay slogan’ were echoed in the Assembly Hall after CM’s declared the 5% DA hike.

“Since our Govt came to power, we increased the DA in 3 phases. We provided 3% DA on 1-3-2021, 5% DA was given on 1-7-2022, 1-12-2022 we increased a 12% DA. When Covid hit the nation, many states stopped full salaries whereas we gave 3% DA. We started cash reward for LTC, means if people are not going out in LTC, they can claim the cash. Now, once again. Today, I declare for the benefit of the common men that 5% DA and DR will be increased for the employees and pensioners. This decision will be implemented from January, 2024. Rs. 500 crores will be spent for this,” CM said in the Assembly.
