AGARTALA, March 4 (TIWN): “The state government is emphasizing the skill development of the youths so that they will be competent for different jobs or can start their own business for a livelihood,” said State Finance Minister Pranajit Sinha Roy during budget session. “Apart from giving conventional training, steps have been taken to impart job-oriented training program. 30 (thirty) youths have been sent to Delhi to learn the Japanese language for a long-term training of 9 (nine) months,” he said.
“30 (thirty) women have been given training on the Ayaa nursing course. 20 (twenty) Women have been given training on auto-driving. Training has been provided to 200 men & women on early childcare taking,” he added.
Pranajit Singha Roy further said, “Tripura Govt has covered 16, 169 youth under Deen-Dayal-Gramin Koushal Yojana. Total 5,168 youth have been employed under the scheme. Many youth were brought under employment generation through 74 career career fairs”.
Total Rs. 27,804.67 crores budget was placed in the assembly. Total Rs 6,633.80 crore designated for capital expenditure and Rs 1721.94 crore has been preserved for the agriculture sector.
