AGARTALA, March 3 (TIWN): CPI-M’s student wing DYFI slammed the BJP-led state govt for its failure to address the employment generation issue in Budget 2024-25. DYFI leaders said, that if Govt does not take the employment generation issue seriously, the DYFI will go into massive protests. “Teachers’ crisis has hit Tripura school. Already 391 schools are closed. Instead of recruiting teachers, the budget has opened paths for privatizing the schools. When TET recruitment is almost stopped, hundreds of youths are waiting for the interview results since 2022. But the TRBT is unable to declare the results.” Said DYFI secretary of Tripura, Nabarun Deb. He slammed the BJP govt for mentioning 74 job fairs organized for the youths, saying, the govt is straightly relying upon such private jobs.

“Not a single word was mentioned about Govt jobs amid its so many promises of employment. Moreover, whenever some jobs are distributed the candidates’ names are only published. Their address is not given. It is done because maximum jobs are given to other states’ candidates,” said Deb.

“Recently out of few jobs, 17 jobs were given to other states’ youths in the agriculture department, whereas 10 more did not join,” said Deb.

“We want govt to clarify the pending STGT results and also what the govt has planned for the employment generation in govt departments,” said Nabarun Deb.
