Currently, the woman is healthy and under the observation of doctors at the hospital.

Doctors said Bilonia Hospital has enough infrastructure for surgery. Due to the shortage of doctors with only ICOs, surgery is often not possible for patients on an emergency basis.

“Sometimes, we also do not want to take risk due to non-cooperation of family members. For this, many patients have to be shifted,” said a Doctor.

Rehena Begum is a resident of Rangamura Gram Panchayat under Rajnagar Block belongs to a very poor family. After the pregnant Rehena Begum was admitted to the Bilonia sub-district hospital, after gynecologist doctor Bikash Majumdar referred her to the district hospital for better treatment, but Rehena Begum's family refused and requested treatment at Belonia. After that, Dr. Bikash Majumdar took the responsibility of setting up a medical team based on an emergency and arranged two bottles of blood and took the initiative of quick surgical treatment.

 With the help of anesthetist Dr. Jaideep and the staff of the Obstetrics Department of Belonia Hospital, Rehana Begum underwent surgery for acute rupture of ectopic pregnancy. The operation was successful.
