AGARTALA, Feb 3 (TIWN): Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha flagged off the Agartala-Deoghar express with Linke-Hofmann-Busch coach on Saturday at Agartala Railway station, in addition to a new advanced shape of the functional express train. “We are happy to get Agartala-Deoghar Express in its advanced form. Whatever we demand from Prime Minister Modi, he gives us immediately under this Double-Engine Govt. Linke-Hofmann-Busch coach will give much more comfort to the passengers. Along with technological advantage, the number of passengers’ seat will be increased. Every Saturday the train will start from here and cover 1472 km to reach Deoghar in its 35 hours journey”, said CM while addressing the inaugural ceremony at Agartala, Badharghat Railway station.
“The train will start from Agartala and then Teliamura, Ambassa, Dharmanagar, Badarpur Junction, New Haflong, Lumding Junction, Guwahati, Kamaksha and many other stations”, CM said.
“Tripura has now so many trains and so many Express trains. PM Modi has successfully implemented the Act-East-Policy in Tripura. The definition of HIRA – H for highway, I for I-ways, R for Roadways, and A for Airways have been a successful mission for the state”, CM added.
Agartala-Deoghar express train runs once weekly on each Saturday evening 7 O’Clock.
