AGARTALA, Dec 25 (TIWN): Along with the entire world, Indian state Tripura also celebrated Christmas with huge enthusiasm. Chief Minister Manik Saha visited Mariram Nagar church on the occasion, cut cake and exchanged greetings of Christmas. CM offered prayers in his traditional style. Addressing the occasion, Saha said, “This day is celebrated worldwide. It’s celebrated amid unity. Jesus Christ’s message on peace is very significant here as without peace, no development is not possible”.
“We are undergoing an age of development under the Modi Govt’s Sabka Sath, Sabka Vikas policy. This message means that we should live in harmony with everyone. But sadly sometimes, the intriguers try to create disturbance and violate the peace. It should not happen”, said CM Manik Saha.
Reacting to the problems the church is facing due to some disturbance, CM said, “It is human nature that it drives us sometimes to darkness. But this is the day when we should decide to live in harmony and bring development. This day is also known as Sushashan on the occasion of former PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s birth anniversary. I feel, these all messages of the Modi Govt has similarity with the messages which were delivered by Jesus Christ”.
