AGARTALA / KANCHANPUR, Dec 25 (TIWN): Rising theft cases across Tripura are not sparing Govt properties. Kanchanur police arrested two thieves for stealing Govt materials from a bridge construction site.

The bridge was under-construction from Kanchanpur to Dashda area. The old bridge was demolished to make a new bridge but recently various materials were taken from the construction site on December 20.

Based on the complaint, police started investigation and arrested three persons : 1) Birendra Nath (29), Ujjal Matsa Das (20), Sarajit Debnath (42).

A vehicle numbered TR-05S-1808 was seized which was used during the theft operation.
