AGARTALA, Dec 13 (TIWN): After significant failures in last Assembly Elections, Tripura Congress on Wednesday said, it happened due to some errors in decision making but this time the vessel will not drown but Congress will pass the vessel. Talking about probable alliances with CPI-M, Congress MLA Sudip Barman said, it’s totally up to the Central leadership and whatever they decide it will be added. “An individual statement doesn’t matter for the grand national alliance under INDIA”, said Sudip Barman pointing former Tripura CM Manik Sarkar’s unwillingness to align with Congress. He further said the party is ready to discuss with all political parties about possible alliances.
On being asked by media whether Congress is aligning with CPI-M, Tipra Motha or not, Sudip Barman said, discussions always are held for this purpose but nothing finalized.
Reacting to questions, whether Congress sees any possibilities in alliance with Tipra Motha this time, as last time, Tipra Motha did not agree to align, Sudip Barman said last time many errors in the decisions happened but whatever the decision will be, this time, Congress will take such decisions that it would pass the vessel, whereas last time the vessel was drowned.
The press meet was followed by a joining program at the Congress Bhawan, Post Office Chowmuhani.
