AGARTALA, Dec 9 (TIWN): Tripura Congress MLA Sudip Barman lashed out at the CPI-M leadership in Tripura for delivering statements that may hurt the unity of aligned opposition INDIA. “I heard that the former Chief Minister (Manik Sarkar) said recently that there will be no alliance with any party. When INDIA alliance is nationally working together to unseat the BJP in the Lok Sabha poll, suddenly as state leader here utters such words. Due to compromising with seats, opposition only got 13 seats in the last Assembly poll." said Sudip Barman.
"We (Congress) already sacrificed for the sake of alliance. But still whether to continue the alliance with CPI-M or not, we can’t make the decision. It’s the central leadership under the aligned INDIA who will make the ultimate decision.", Sudip Barman said this during his Belonia visit on Saturday.
“Even after not being the chief opposition party, Congress has taken responsibility to function as chief opposition”, said Barman hitting the other opposition parties in Tripura who are playing mute spectator roles against the BJP Govt.
“People of Tripura are not happy. It’s important to unite the voice of the people and reach out to them”, added Barman.
