Jhuma Debnath, D/O- Bandhan Debnath was subjected to be tortured by her in-laws and husband since her marriage. Within 7 years of the marriage she died unnaturally.

SI Jayanta Malakar conducted the investigation. Section 498 304B were imposed on the accused and today court has convicted, punished them with 3 years (U/S-498) and 10 years (U/S 304) totalling 13 years of jail.

The convicted persons are : victim Jhuma Debnath’s husband Ratan Debnath, his father Mandindra Debnath and mother Manada Debnath.
