AGARTALA, July 14 (TIWN): Tripura Finance Minister Pranajit Singha Roy while addressing Tripura Budget 2023-24 session said that Tripura’s GSDP has increased to 8.80% is greater than the national average. In the Budget Speech, the Finance Minister said, “In last five years we have taken number of steps for people’s welfare and economic development. This August House will be happy to know that State economy (GSDP) is estimated to have grown by 8.80 % during last FY 2022-23, compared to 7.20% growth estimated at national level".

"The State is estimated to grow at about 8.00% during the current FY 2023-24 as against estimated 6 to 6.5% growth at national level. This` high economic growth is the reflection of our efforts for development of the State”.

“Under the visionary leadership of the Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and able leadership of our Hon’ble Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha, BJP led alliance has returned to power for second consecutive term to serve the State on the path of development and prosperity.
