AGARTALA, July 8 (TIWN): Reacting over the Tripura Budget 2023-24 by State Finance Minister Pranajit Singha Roy, former Chief Minister Manik Sarkar said that he would not comment anything over the budget because he did not read it. “I have received any copy yet, but still I can assure the budget is not a good one. Any good thing in this budget can not be expected from this Govt”, said Sarkar. “It’s unable to provide salaries, wages to the people. Starvation is a fact among poor. Schools are in a skeleton structure, suffering due to lack of teachers. Power cut, water crisis have gripped the state. Hospitals are not in good shape and all these shows what has been the Govt is doing so far”, added Manik Sarkar.

The statement came after the BJP led State Govt of Tripura presented 2023-24 Budget with an outlay of Rs 27,654.40 crore, with around Rs 5,358.70 crore allocated for capital expenditure.
