AGARTALA, July 5 (TIWN): After cabinet decision imposed Permanent Resident of Tripura Certificates (PRTC) for all State Govt jobs, unemployed engineers demanded imposition of PRTC in the upcoming TES.Gr V(A) and Gr. V(B) exams that were published by Advt No-16/2022 by Tripura Public Service Commission (TPSC). Cabinet on Tuesday had decided that from now with an “Immediate Effect” the PRTC will be imposed and on being asked by media, what about ongoing Govt jobs, Minister Sushanta Chowdhury told media that now TPSC can implement it on such interviews which are yet to be conducted as “immediate effect” has been written. Based on that the Engineers wrote to TPSC Secretary to impose PRTC as a compulsory requirement for engineering posts’ jobs under TPSC.
On Tuesday, the cabinet has made a decision to include Permanent Resident of Tripura Certificate (PRTC) as a mandatory requirement for job appointments that will be done via State Govt directly. After the cabinet meeting held on Tuesday, Minister Sushanta Chowdhury informed media that to take the decision, Law Dept’s permission was needed as it was a complicated issue. The Minister however informed that in case of exceptional situations like a scientist or expert is needed for any post Tripura Govt can take the decision to recruit candidates from outside but except such cases, all candidates from Group-A to Group-D either by Govt sectors or TPSC recruitment, PRTC is mandatory.
Recently, Engineering job aspirants had written a letter to the Chief Minister of Tripura urging all TPSC jobs should make PRTC mandatory. So, with such announcements, all such issues face by the candidates can be resolved, as Minister said, "If there is any TPSC /PSU exam that is yet to be conducted then TPSC has the power to implement PRTC in those jobs".
