TIWN July 5, 2023

AGARTALA, July 5 (TIWN): STGT candidates to write another application and submit it to the Secretariat appealing Chief Minister Manik Saha to meet them. On 3rd July, the candidates attempted to meet the CM at his residence but could not meet as they did not have appointments, whereas the candidates said that they submitted many applications to meet the CM but he did not meet them. Right now the Education Dept is under Chief Minister Manik Saha. Uncertainty looms large over the STGT result publication. This is not an isolated incident as in JRBT like exams also same situation continues. It’s around 7 to 8 months that the STGT job aspirants are sitting jobless and waiting for the result publication, whereas the entire process took over a year but so far no glimpse of result declarations.
Also last week, the job aspirants gathered at City Center and requested Chief Minister Manik Saha to look after their matter. “It has been 7 to 8 months that we appeared in STGT exams but although TET examination results were declared, our results are on hold. We are getting frustrated. The burden of unemployment is becoming too much for us. "We are unable to Carry the Luggage of being Unemployed", said an STGT Job aspirants at City Center.
Many times, the candidates agitated, gathered before election and also after election but no proper reply from the authority could be received about when these candidates will be recruited.
On Monday STGT appeared at the CM quarter where police stopped them asking, where is the appointment letter. Talking to the unemployed youths, they said, many times they sought appointment but the Chief Minister did not give them appointment and now without appointment they are not allowed to meet him. Overall a strange situation has hit the aspirants.
“Since September, 2022 we are waiting for results but no development. So many times we have protested, placed deputation but no outcome. Our demand is only that the result should be published soon and then the recruitment process should be completed. Many times we tried to meet the CM. Even we went to meet him at Janata Durbar but unfortunately, we could not meet him”, said a job aspirant.
“So many times, we have sought appointment. Today that’s why we came to meet him directly but bad luck that it could not happen. CM is so responsive even to social media users but he is not meeting us even after so many applications we submitted. We have been advised to write an application and to submit it in Secretariat with emergency-meeting request. We will now try that too”, said a young boy who is among other teaching job aspirants.
