AGARTALA, June 24 (TIWN): This Saturday is for Tipra Motha! The massive gathering of party supporters already waved that signal. Due to the massive rally, the Circuit House area’s vehicle movement had to stop. It was a rally of women wing of Tipra and over thousands of people gathered at Astabal but when the rally was proceeding towards Raj Bhawan, police stopped them and the agitating party workers sat on road in protest. Tipra Motha party today raised many demands but most prioritized demand was “Roman Script” for Kokborok language. “This is our long pending demand. Our demand has been ignored for a long time but now we demand that the Governor should take our demand seriously”, said an agitating women leader at Circuit house where they were stopped from proceeding to Governor’s house.

“Kokborok language has  reached up to Mater’s level but the language has not been fixed over the script. We want immediate implementation of the demand”, she added.

Animesh Debbarma further warned CM Manik Saha to fulfil their demand or they will set massive protests.
