AGARTALA, June 18 (TIWN): Asish Saha, who battled the Assembly Poll against Chief Minister Manik Saha and was defeated with a narrow margin has been designated as Tripura Congress’s new State President.

Congress Party leaders on Monday celebrated with Asish Saha at Congress Bhawan, Agartala, exchanged sweets.

National General Secretary of Congress K.C. Venugopal has signed the appointment letter of Asish Saha, replacing former Congress State President Birjit Sinha.
