AGARTALA, June 8 (TIWN): This is the first time in GB Hospital that a 14-day-old child was successfully subjected to PDA Staining operation, which took about two and a half hours. Medical Superintendent of GB Hospital Dr. Sanjib Debbarma Dr. Arindam Sundar Trivedi and others were present.Talking to media, a Doctor said, “When the baby was brought to hospital, its blood pressure was very low. With huge urgency the baby was taken under care and operation was needed. Blood arrangements also needed to be done immediately”.

“Saturation was 30% even after giving oxygen. We needed to keep him under observation”, another expert said.

Such patients suffer due to oxygen saturation since birth.
