AGARTALA, June 6 (TIWN): A young man died on spot after a 4-wheeler hit him and fled away. The incident occurred in Jangalia area at seven in the morning under Bishalgarh PS. The young man is identified as Chandan Debnath of Charilam area, it is reported that he was going home on his scooty when the car hit him. Chandan died on the spot, a few days ago, his wife died in a fire incident.

Eyewitnesses said that the dead body stayed in the middle of the road for over an hour. The fire service personnel recovered the body and brought it to the Bishalgarh Sub-Divisional Hospital, an altercation broke out among the police officials and fire department personnel over the removal of the dead body from the fire service’s vehicle in Hospital Premises for an autopsy.

However, the police could not trace the 4-wheeler.
