UDAIPUR, January 22 (TIWN): That the state Health Department itself is suffering from various diseases becomes clear if one visits the Chandrapur Primary Health Centre of Udaipur. This PHC is closed for one year , said the villagers .

Even this year Pulse Polio doses  too were not given in this PHC. Local people me said that the elected MLA of their constituency Madhab Saha has been informed more than five times but he is yet to arrive in this village to listen to their problem. Earlier people of South Chandrapur village used to come to Tripura Sundari District Hospital by an auto that cost Rs 10/- only but now as District Hospital has been shifted to Tepania and no regular auto or other transport service is available, they are forced to go to Tepania hiring private cars that easily costs them more than Rs 150/- each time.

It is to be mentioned here that on 26th December 2012 this PHC was inaugurated by the then Health Minister Tapan Chakraborty.
But with in a few months of inauguration the services were stopped in this PHC. Now the doctors, nurses and other health workers have become Angels visitors . The village is inhabited by more than three thousand poor people. But they are not getting any services from the PHC. People of this village demand that Health Ministry must take initiative to resume health services in this PHC for the interest of the people.
