AGARTALA, January 20 (TIWN): Opposition Leader Sudip Roy Barman today revealed probably the biggest scam of in the history of the state. As per the Internal Audit Reports (IAR) of 32 blocks that the Leader of Opposition got through RTI reveals the funds of Manik Sarkar led CPI(M) Govt's looting of the centrally sponsored funds allocated for the development of the state. According to the reports that have been made public today in a press meet in the Congress Bhawan this afternoon Leader of Opposition Sudip Roy Barman said," The IAR of these 32 Blocks reveal a huge scam of Rs 300 crore and 79 lakhs . Among them Rs 115.56 crore is under MGNREGA and Rs 144.64 crore is under different other centrally sponsored funds. The rest of the amount is covered under various social development schemes. And to highlight this scam at the national level a team of PCC delegates will meet the Prime Minister of India this month in New Delhi. " Barman also said," Only CBI can bring the truth and that's why we are going to meet the Prime Minister Narendra Modi demanding CBI probe to bring out the truth of scam in all the blocks in Tripura. Manik Sarkar's Dramabazi won't continue for long."

Sudip Roy Barman, however, said that the date has yet to be finalized. But according to a highly placed TIWN source in the AICC, a top level AICC leader is in consultation with the PMO to finalize the date. Once the date is finalized a team of PCC delegates led by Opposition Leader Sudip Roy Barman will move to Delhi to meet the Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The AICC source adds," During this meeting TPCC delegates will hand over the details of the ongoing scams covering MGNREGA, NRHM and other centrally sponsored funds. The delegates will also submit all the documents before the PM Modi to present a clear picture of this Corrupt Govt before the PM."

       Speaking to the media persons in the Congress Bhawan Leader of Opposition Sudip Roy Barman said," We will demand CBI probe for all the corruption cases in Tripura. We assure you that if a special audit is conducted in all the blocks in Tripura the amount that has already been looted by this corrupt govt, CPI(M) leaders and its corrupt officials will cross Rs 600 to Rs 700 crore ."

Barman said that when the country is waiting to receive US President Barack Obama as the Chief Guest on 26th January CPI(M) party quite intentionally had called a ' Movement against Imperialism' purely with a hidden motive of diverting the attention of the public from the massive scams in Tripura. But Congress will not seat back and in the coming days PCC will present the clear picture of this corrupt govt.
