No proxy teachings report since 2 months at the state, claims Education Minister

AGARTALA, January 20 (TIWN): Claiming that no proxy teaching report has been found yet since past two months across the state, State Education Minister Tapan Chakroborty said that proxy teachings will not be tolerated by any means here in the state, and if found than a stern action will be taken against the teachers.

“We have found no proxy teachings report since past 2 months across the state”, claimed Tapan Chakroborty. Talking to the reporters here at the civil secretariat state Education Minister said that the proxy teachings will not be tolerated by any means here in the state. If any report of proxy teachings are found than a stern action will be taken against both the real teachers and the proxy teachers, said Chakroborty.

Earlier admitting that proxy teaching has been a sham to education system in the rural areas of Tripura, Chief Minister Manik Sarkar said that the government had stressed in steps to develop the quality of education at schools in tribal dominated areas of the state.

Sarkar said that officials were asked to ensure proper implementation of different programmes for the betterment of the school education.

According to the sources, earlier a total of 38 teachers of different schools were suspended so far.

However, besides sidelining another issue Minister Tapan Chakroborty warned for a stern action to be taken against the school as well as the college teachers if they are found engaged in private tuition. It is mentionable here that recently the school and the college teachers across the state has owned their individual business at their home to earn 2 paisa through private tuitions. And this has largely ruined the education system at the schools.

It is also to be mentioned here that at present a section of school teachers here at the capital city are largely engaged with the private tuitions, showing a thumb to the rules and regulations of the state govt. according to the sources, the teachers of government and government-aided schools have engaged themselves in private tuitions, thereby resorting to earning money and hoodwinking the students during schooling hours. However, but taking private tuitions and similar such practices goes against the provisions of the service conduct rules in force, as the teachers are within the ambit of the said rules.
