AGARTALA, Feb 21 (TIWN): Tripura Rehabilitation Corporation Limited (TRCL) employees have demanded their pending Dearness Allowance (DA), but when they visited the office, the officer in charge of Managing Director named Prasad Rao Bhadrappa (IFS), he allegedly misbehaved with the employees. Talking to media, the insulted employees said, such behaviour by a senior official is inappropriate. An employee said, “The previous MD was so polite and the 5% pending DA was released on time. But today, the new officer has behaved very roughly accusing us of being part of unions of the opposition”.
“We work and as per Govt’s declaration, we get the salaries and hikes. He could say that fund is not available and also could ask us to wait for more, but instead of doing that, he has behaved very roughly”, the employee.
“We are low-grade paid workers. We demand our pending money. The way commodity prices are rising, it’s getting very tough for us to maintain the budget. If we take 500 rupees to the market, we are returning empty handed. In such a crisis situation, we just want to get what we deserve”, he said.
