AGARTALA, Feb 12 (TIWN): ADC's ruling party Tipra Motha Chief, Royal scion Pradyot Manikya cheered the anti-BJP supporters at 7-Ramnagar, received endless claps with his sudden arrival on the dais during Independent candidate Purushottom Roy Barman's campaigning on Sunday evening. Purushottom Roy Barman is a Human Right activist, and a High Court senior Advocate who is fighting against BJP under support of Left, Congress shared seats from 7-Ramnagar against ruling BJP MLA Surajit Datta. Pradyot Manikya was returning to Palace after his Majlishpur rally where he via his firing speech warned BJP’s bike-gang to stop violence or he will send all of them to jail after 2nd March's result declaration adding "Tipra Motha is coming into Power".

While crossing Ramnagar, Pradyot Manikya spotted Congress MLA Sudip Roy Barman who was campaigning for Purushottom Roy Barman and stopped the car and approached the dais. Sudip Barman requested Pradyot Manikya to say something for the audience, and Pradyot Manikya delivered a speech on peace and brotherhood but stated that if he was the voter of 6-Agartala, then, he must have voted for Sudip Roy Barman.

“We all are brothers, sisters and after election regardless BJP, Congress, CPM or anyother party, we are together. There will be no difference between us”, said Pradyot Manikya.

Pradyot Manikya was a Congress leader of Tripura and also served as the Tripura Congress President till 2019. 

Sudip Roy Barman is 6-Agartala candidate from Congress, supported by Left whereas his major contestant is BJP candidate Papia Datta.

Tripura Election is going to be held on 16th February and the Result will be declared on March 3rd.
