AGARTALA / NEW YORK, Feb 12 (TIWN): Tripura Infoway News (TIWN) Editor Saumen Sarkar on Saturday during his Facebook live speech exposed BJP’s attempt to colour the party with a clean image by displaying Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha as the Front Face. The Editor asked, if Manik Saha is a gentleman with no bad record in the past, why BJP’s other candidates have been selected from criminal backgrounds starting from Pratima Bhowmik to Surajit Datta? The editor said, “Any old item or a rotten item is covered with beautiful packets by ill mentality’s businessmen and exactly it is now being done by BJP. Displaying Manik Saha as the front face, BJP is now trying to erase all its past violence incidents when BJP’s other candidates like Pratima Bhowmik, Surajit Datta and many others are carrying criminal records”.
“CM Manik Saha has requested the people who are living outside Tripura to cast vote in favour of BJP. But give me one reason, why should they do so? You belong to a renowned businessman’s family. You are well respected and reputed. Haven’t you seen the violence that had taken place during the by-poll in your own constituency? Were you blind when senior citizens, and retired persons were attacked during the poll ?”, said Editor Saumen Sarkar.
The Editor further appealed to people to come forward and save their voting rights and on 16th February at any cost, they must cast their votes.
