AGARTALA, Feb 9 (TIWN): Amid everyday violence incidents rising in Tripura ahead of the Assembly, poll, another shocking report came from Ramnagar constituency where infamous BJP Mafia-MLA Surajit Datta’s workers attacked a woman advocate who was working on legal papers at High Court Advocate Purushottom Roy Barman’s home. Purushottom Roy Barman is also an independent candidate of the constituency contesting against BJP MLA Surajit Datta. The victim has lodged an FIR against the incident. In the FIR, victim Susmita Paul stated that at around 12.15 pm after attending her chamber of Purushottom Roy Barman, she was walking towards the Metro Bazar to purchase necessary items and at that time around 40 to 50 goons including women miscreants led by BJP Ward No-18 councilor Abhishek Datta showed a pistol to her and physically assaulted her.

She immediately informed the matter to her father and senior Purushottom Roy Barman. By that time, the miscreants again attacked her with bamboo, sticks, pistol. The woman advocate has sought a proper investigation in this matter.

In video footage it was seen that the woman advocate was traumatized due to the disturbing incident.

BJP MLA Surajit Datta is one of the most controversial, reputed notorious leader and a seasonal miscreant, allegedly lost his hand while making bomb during young life. Now he is the border mafia and chief commission collector of the Border Gol Chakkar area, having connection with various crimes. In last by-poll complaint against Surjit Datta was sent to ECI and even a case was filed in Supreme Court of India.
