AGARTALA, Feb 9 (TIWN): Left and Congress Govt will deliver a transparent system to the people of Tripura which will ensure jobs for unemployed, prosperity and tranquillity in this state, said National Congress leader Pawan Khera in Agartala on Thursday while addressing media at Agartala Post Office Chowmuhani. He said, “Everyday there are reports of violence in Tripura. Even Election Commission authorities also accepted the heavy violence incidents as facts when we talked to the Commission face to face. Tripura was never like this, neither it’s Tripura’s culture but it is the culture of BJP. I want to ask, what happened to the 50,000 Govt Jobs ? What happened to 7th Pay Commission ? Tripura was cheated by BJP”. Khera further slammed BJP for threatening voters and its attempts to terrorize the polls.
“We do not want to lie to voters before the poll, but what we say, we keep…..”, said Khera.
“Congress, Left Govt will not allow violence to happen in this state”, he added.
“Modi Govt in last 8.5 years has attempted to destroy the democracy. It has vandalized the independent structure of each institution starting from media to the judiciary. It is very important that Modi Govt should be removed from power to restore democracy. Modi Govt’s biggest fear is truthful reporting because it invests a lot to create a very impressive image of Modi. So any criticism is not tolerated under this BJP Govt”, said Khera.
