CHARILAM, Dec 12 (TIWN): CPI-M workers paid tribute to Sahid Mia who was brutally murdered by BJP workers in Charilam on November 30. The program was conducted at Bishalgarh Party Office.

Addressing the party workers, CPI-M State Secretary Jitendra Chowdhury said, “For last few years we have been attacked again and again. We are attacked on political ground, in offices, in the field and even in our homes. But amid all these, we never disrespected the constitution”.

“On that day too (murder of Sahid Mia) we were peacefully protesting. We were displaying all respect for the rules. We took police permission too. But what happened on that day everyone knows”, added Jitendra Chowdhury.

“Our demands are the for the common men’s rights, their works, livelihood, social pension”, he said.

“Our all party offices were attacked in Charilam and Bishalgarh since the election was won by BJP followed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s false promises and begging by him to give BJP a single chance. Today this is the consequence of the BJP era. People of Tripura will never forgive them”, Jitendra Chowdhury told the party members.
