AGARTALA, Dec 12 (TIWN): If no funds, why did the BJP-led Tripura Govt conduct STGT and other exams? On Monday, STGT qualified candidates returned shocked from Education Minister Ratan Lal Nath’s residence as they were said that there is no approval for their recruitment yet, which means Finance Dept of Deputy CM Jishnu Debbarman has not approved STGT, qualified candidates. Today, STGT-qualified candidates who have been protesting for 3 months for recruitment held a protest in front of Education Minister Ratan Lal Nath’s home seeking recruitment. At last, the Minister met them but stated that their files were refused to get any approval from the Finance Dept. Question raises over the role of Central BJP Govt which had promised about a Double-Engine Govt where there will be no fund crisis. Resented job aspirants told the media that they can’t agree with this statement as they were much hopeful to be recruited after they passed the exams with a lot of effort and hard work.
One of the job aspirants told media, “From 2019 to 2022 only 616 teachers for Class-9 Class-10 were recruited. The Education Minister also agreed to the point that only very few teachers were recruited under the Graduate level”.
Later due to police interference the unemployed youths could not talk to the media further.
After that Ratan Lal Nath came out of home and scolded the agitators. Then police also detained some of the agitators, developed a tussle with them.
Some of the job aspirants broke down after the statement received from the Education Minister.
