AGARTALA, Nov 18 (TIWN): 10323 Teachers under “Joint Movement Committee” (JMC) has postponed their protest on November 21st as Chief Minister has allowed JMC to be a part of the meeting with him. JMC today paid tribute to their demised colleagues with candles and flowers. The JMC has requested CM Manik Saha to look after their matter as there are lots of opportunities through which, the BJP Govt can save 10323 teachers’ lives. Now, the question is what can the BJP Govt do for 10323 teachers ? According to 10323 teachers, Tripura Govt can review the verdict of the High Court which was upheld by the Supreme Court from the perspective of RTI reply from the Supreme Court which says that not all 10323 teachers were part of the verdict.

Another possibility is there that the Govt may rethink the 10323 teachers issues based on Supreme Court’s EWS quota upholding.

10323 teachers’ jobs were given based on merit, seniority and need. At that time “Need” has no constitutional validity and no law was passed in Tripura Assembly on need-based but now as Supreme Court has allowed “need” (EWS) criteria in Govt jobs, so Tripura Govt now take a decision how these matters can be connected and from the humanitarian angle the 10323 teachers jobs can be saved.

However, on 22nd November, things will be cleared where the 10323 teachers’ future will proceed.
