10323 Teachers Continue Hunger Strike for 14 Days : Why doesn’t JMC-10323 teachers group get permission for similar protests ?

AGARTALA, Nov 2 (TIWN): 10323 teachers’ group which is protesting in front of Rabindra Bhawan for 14 days has so far failed to draw the mass attention. The hunger-strike led by 10323 teachers’ leader Pradip Banik is still seen with suspicions due to multiple reasons including his statement during JMC’s 52 days long protest in front of City Center, Agartala. On that time Pradip Banik accused the JMC members for creating law and order problems and said that such persons are not worthy to be called as teachers, whereas today, he is in Hunger Strike with a similar demand. Question raises, why has police permitted this group to continue Hunger Strike in front of Rabindra Bhawan when the same police dept is not giving permission to JMC to protest amid High Court’s order.

Due to divisions among 10323 teachers and suspicions for sabotages, the terminated teachers yet to be united which has rather weakened the protest. Many suspect that Pradip Banik being an agent of Ratan Lal Nath trying to weaken JMC aiming to get JRBT jobs at the end.

With all such speculative reasons, 10323 teachers’ Hunger-Strike has left less-impressive even though many teachers have fallen sick during the Hunger Strike.

Agitating 10323 teachers have asked BJP Govt to restore their jobs based on Supreme Court’s RTI reply which mentions that not all the 10323 teachers were parts of the termination-judgement.
