AGARTALA Oct 26 (TIWN): After Natun Nagar shoot out incident where in front of a hotel two persons were injured in a shooting incident, Chief Minister Manik Saha on Wednesday said law and order has developed a lot in Tripura and it will be proven after a few days as he will place data before media regarding crime numbers with a crime graph.
On being asked about the Natunnagar incident, Saha told media that some unfortunate incidents happened but police are taking action in that incident. Saha said, not only in this incident but police have been asked to play impartial role in all cases and to bring all anti-social elements behind the bar.
“I have told police to keep zero tolerance against any crime or criminal. Appropriate actions will be taken against all criminals”, said Saha.
“If we compare the law and order situation of now and previous times, you will see that it has developed a lot. Still some unfortunate incidents keep on happening but it was worse in previous daus. I have asked police to take action against all criminals and no tolerance should be shown against crimes”, added Saha.
Chief Minister Manik Saha who started his CM tenure from May, 2022 had earlier called for “no political violence” and warned against drug-smuggling. Saha reportedly asked police to take action neutrally regardless political identity and colour in any such cases.
