AGARTALA, Oct 12 (TIWN): Kurti High Madrasa’s students blocked road after the national anthem in the school on Wednesday to demonstrate protest over teacher crisis and infrastructural crisis. The protest movement started by keeping the teachers inside, students locked the classrooms and then burnt tires on the streets.
It is alleged that there is the lack of sufficient subject teachers in Kurti High Madrasa, the chairs, tables all are broken and cooking utensils all turned into pathetic shape and water does not come out from water pipes. More extreme allegations are raised against the teachers that they do not come to school on time and most of the teachers during School hours go for fishing in the neighbouring areas.
Meanwhile, the students complained that there are 13 teachers in the school but only 6 to 7 teachers are present in the school every day. But the headmaster of the school Enam Uddin took out the opposite tone, terming the entire allegation as false.
However, the blockade continued amid heavy rains and no political leaders and administrative officials and officials of education department came to the spot except police of Kadamtala PS to withdraw the blockade.
