AGARTALA, Oct 11 (TIWN): Congress held rally in front of Unakoti Kalakshetra in Kailashahar on Oct 11th, Tuesday afternoon, on call for the Quit Violence, Bharat Jaro Movement and on completion of Rahul Gandhi's march of 650 km. Before starting rally activists, supporters from different parts of Kailashahar sub-division gathered at Bimal Sinha Housing Complex and met in front of Kalakshetra for a felicitation rally. The rally was led by Rajya Sabha MP and All India Minority Congress chairman Imran Pratap Gorjee, Pradesh Congress president and former Minister Birjit Sinha and District Congress President Badruzzaman, former Yuva Congress president Sushanta Chowdhury and others.
In the felicitation rally, MP Imran Pratap Gorjee delivered speech criticized the BJP party. He said, BJP party's DNA has the blood of rioting, cheating, false promises, cheating people. BJP party government does not think about common poor people, BJP does not give jobs to unemployed people. BJP party gives birth to goons, miscreants, almost every day BJP party goons are beating Congress party leaders and workers, burning houses and vandalizing Congress party offices. The same is being done in Tripura as well, added he.
Whatever Congress has done for the country in 70 years, after the formation of the BJP government led by Modi in 2014, everything is being sold and various government agencies are being handed over to private companies, said the MP Imran Pratap Gorjee
MP Imran Pratap Gorjee also said that the BJP party is trying to destroy communal harmony across the country, there have been many communal riots in different parts of the country since 2014. The leaders of the BJP party openly say that everyone except Hindus should be expelled from the country.
Thousands of people attended Congress's felicitation rally in Kailashahar city on Tuesday. In this congratulatory rally, 700 voters left the BJP and joined the Congress in presence of Pradesh Congress President Birjit Sinha and others.
