AGARTALA, Oct 11 (TIWN): 10323 teachers’ death toll has risen to 141 as two more teachers died recently. One of them committed suicide by jumping under train whereas another teacher died due to kidney disease. Today 10323 teachers paid tribute to the deceased teachers, urged the State Govt to solve their problems at the earliest. Recently 10323 teachers met Chief Minister Manik Saha and told him about the RTI issue where the Supreme Court’s reply said that not all the 10323 teachers were part of the Supreme Court cases. Referring the meeting with CM, 10323 teachers said, CM had promised them to look after their matter seriously but so far no solution came out.
“The Govt has to take the responsibility. It’s only the Govt which can solve the matter and Govt has to listen to us”, said 10323 teachers.
It’s noteworthy that BJP before 2018 election promised to solve 10323 teachers’ issue but amending new law for the 10323 teachers. Such promises were not only given at party level but the then Union Finance Minister, PM Modi like figures had repeatedly assured 10323 teachers to solve their uncertainty and provide them permanent-livelihood.
