Udaipur, Oct 10 (TIWN): A family who recently joined Congress by holding Congress MLA Sudip Barman’s hand was attacked by Bike Gang’s active members Amar Debnath and Ganesh Ravi Das in Udaipur.

Reportedly, on the day of Lakshmi Puja, a Congress supporter youth named Surajit Saha was selling meat at his meat shop near the hanging bridge at Udaipur Center Road but suddenly Bike Gang miscreants named Amar Debnath (BJP Booth President) and Ganesh Ravi Das attacked him with sharp meat cutters.

Victim Surjit Saha alleged that they tried to kill him with weapon. Meanwhile, Surjit Saha and his mother alleged that the reason behind the attack was for joining Congress by holding Congress MLA Sudip Barman’s hand. The family also alleged that after joining Congress party on Sept-4, they were attacked several times and their houses vandalized twice.

After reporting the incident of attack to Udaipur Radha Kishorepur police station, the police did not even arrest anyone, alleged the victim.

Later, the police of Radha Kishorepur PS rushed to the spot after receiving information about the shop vandalism and attack on the youth. However, it is now to be seen whether the family would get justice or not.
