AGARTALA, Aug 21 (TIWN): One more lesson should be learned by bureaucrats from Tinku Roy who are busily bootlicking the politicians and believe the corrupt politicians would save them in future in corruption cases. Immediately after the court sealed TIDC Chairman Tinku Roy’s office, he on a social media live announced that he has nothing to do with land-acquisition and DM should be held responsible for that.
Although the court sealed his office for not paying the due amount, Tinku Roy said, the land was acquired by the former CPI-M Govt. Out of emotion, Tinku Roy also disclosed that not a single industry was developed and the land was acquired under BJP Govt which indirectly proved BJP government’s anti-industry policies though.
Moreover, Tinku Roy continued to clarify, for any irregularity it is the then CM Biplab Deb and the Secretary should be asked, as he (Tinku Roy) is just a chairman of the TIDC which is a little sector of the entire Industry dept.
However, Tinku Roy’s statement again demonstrates how politicians dump all blame on the officers as the ultimate signature is being done by them, just like an innocent IAS former Chief Secretary Yash Pal Singh was dragged to jail just because he had to put his signature in a case related to PWD construction. But if former Minister Badal Chowdhury can be sent to jail for 87 days, why Tinku Roy would be spared for any corruption in his dept?
The Court order was violated by Industry Dept and both Biplab Deb and Tinku Roy are culprits for it, though Tinku Roy is trying to escape behind the former DM.
Nevertheless, it is once again proven, that nobody is above the law and court order should not be violated.
